Our Freeze-Dried Cat Food can be fed straight from the bag as a complete, balanced meal, but we recommend rehydrating with water for ultimate flavour, digestive support and hydration using a 1:1 ratio of food to warm water.  Adding warm water is a simple way to boost daily hydration and unlock rich, meaty aromas that tempt picky eaters, while mimicking a natural diet that supports optimal long-term health. This quick step supports kidney and urinary health while softening each dense bite for gentle digestion and easy chewing, making it ideal for growing kittens or senior cats with sensitive teeth.

Feeding Guidelines

Ideal feeding quantities vary by breed, age, activity level, body condition and neutered status, so the following information is a guide only. 

Kittens and pregnant/nursing mothers may need up to 2.5 times the above amount. 
Adjust to suit your cat's needs.  If mixed feeding, balance total daily calorie intake and monitor body condition regularly.

Make sure fresh water is available at all times.

Serve as a complete meal^, or as a nutrient-dense topper to offer variety and enhance flavours and texture.

• To use as a meal mixer:  To use as a meal mixer we recommend a mix of 1/4 Kiwi Kitchens with 3/4 of the current food. Sprinkle or mix in. 
• Dry feeding: If feeding dry, ensure your cat has plenty of fresh water available at mealtime. 
  Tip: Using a pet water fountain and having several water bowl locations can help encourage extra drinking!
• Rehydration: Add 1 part food with 1 part warm water, let sit for 3-5 minutes to soften. Discard or refrigerate any uneaten food after 20–30 minutes.
