Xtreme Scrapers Sinking Wafer Fish Food
Catfish and especially Plecos need a different diet. Cellulose is a part of that diet in the wild as they feed off the roots and branches of dead and live trees and shrubs. To provide those nutrients in an aquarium we added cellulose in the form of Stinging Nettle extract. Just enough to provide what is needed. We also made the wafer hard and with some weight to encourage the natural scraping habits found in the wild. As these fish are nocturnal, most of the feeding is at night, so this pellet will hold up for hours in the tank and will not foul the water.
We use Green Pea as our primary protein and add fish, herring, kelp, shrimp and spirulina to round out the diet. And, over the years users report that this formula is a favourite of lots of other fish. So, you should try it in a tank with some finicky eaters.

Why Feed Xtreme?
Xtreme developed a catalog of products to feed all kinds of fish in all kinds of environments. They had to because 45 years ago there was nothing to feed the farm of 500,000 ornamental tropical fish. 10-years-ago we started feeding fish we did not farm; guppies, egg layers, livebearers and other community fish found in fish keeper's tanks. Marine fish can be finicky eaters too, but we discovered that great proteins like Shrimp, Krill and Squid found in all our formulas were perfect for them as well. Everything begins at the farm, real-life testing, trial and error formulations combine with suggestions from our retailers. Last but not least; fish gotta love it...and they do...which says it all.
